Letter from the President

Hello from the Brothers of the Kappa Deuteron Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa!

My name is Preben Are, and I am honoured to serve as the President of the Kappa Deuteron Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa here at Georgia Tech for 2018. I wouldn’t say that I was always interested in joining Greek Life in college, but over the years, Phi Sig has become a large part of my life and I owe a great debt to the organization and the brothers in it for my accomplishments during the last years.

In their daily lives, the brothers of Kappa Deuteron seek to embody our three Cardinal Principles: Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Character, showing the world the positive impact that Phi Sig has had on them as young men. We are proudly represented all over campus, participating in and often leading organizations such as FAST, Ramblin’ Reck Club, GT For the Kids, Student Government Association, and many more. Our internal programming, between brotherhood events and social functions, philanthropy events such as our annual Pig JIg and Carving for a Cause, and academic support for eachother, reinforces those principles by which we choose to live.

Our chapter prides itself on the uniqueness of all of our brothers, from our area of study, to our countries of birth. Amongst our ranks, you will find dedicated and passionate individuals whose interests cover the entire spectrum of the college experience. I hope that if you have the fortune of interacting with the chapter, you will see how our vast range of experiences and talents are united in a sense of oneness that only a college fraternity can provide.

Damn Glad,

Preben Are
